Developed in the 1970s, the design here revolves around open, tree-lined streets and architecture that is both geometric and harmonious. An example of the plan's sensibility is that as schools, social facilities, parks and green spaces were developed, the parish church from the 16th century was preserved and incorporated into the design. Many young university graduates just starting promising careers were attracted to the neighborhood, establishing new families and giving it the nickname of 'neighborhood of doctors'.
