Entrecampos is located next to Lisbon's university campus, as well as some centers of cultural interest such as Praça do Campo Pequeno, the National Library and the Torre do Tombo.

Here is also one of the most important railway interfaces in the country: daily more than 400 trains pass through the Entrecampos station, the high-speed train Faro-Porto, the suburban connections to the south to Setúbal and the suburban connections to Sintra.
