The city of Madrid is located almost exactly at the geographical heart of the Iberian Peninsula. The spanish capital is the economical and industrial centre of Spain, and is Spain’s foremost centre of higher education and includes several of the country’s leading universities.
Madrid has a lot of interesting attractions that offer both culture and amusement. It is home to many varied museums and great monuments, like the Prado Museum, Thyssen, the Royal Palace or the Plaza Mayor. You will find some of the most fantastic collections of famous Spanish artists like Velazquez and Goya.
The Spanish Capital has a lot to offer for those who are looking for entertainment. From Warner Bros park, the Sunday walks by Retiro Park to the big flea markets. Madrid has a very active nightlife throughout the whole week. You can either go out for a traditional Spanish tapa, eat at a very nice restaurant, go to one of the many theatres, or enjoy a live jazz session while drinking a cocktail.
If you are moving to Madrid to study or work, you will have such an enriching experience and live first hand the typical spanish lifestyle.
