Lisboa

Lisbon is the best city to live in Europe. This is a hot destination, made up of charming alleyways with a blend of the old and new buildings. Lisbon has it all: tradition, history, culture, liveliness, nightlife, beaches and the Tagus River.
Both foreigners and locals describe living in Lisbon as a dream. It’s considerably more affordable than other European capitals, the weather is excellent, the people are friendly, the food is delicious, and there’s a range of cultural offerings, cafes, bars, and restaurants that make life in the city pretty interesting.
Lisbon is a popular destination for students and young professionals.

I am an university art history professor, I have lived around the world since I am 29 (I am 56 now) and especially in the US, Italy and Spain.

I am the owner of this villa where I live with my baby and 2 dogs. My mother and a few friends from italy and the US visit sometimes.

Our home is a large 1973 home in a very nice suburban neighborhood looking a lot like S.ta Monica CA, very near the sea. In winter you can hear the sea sounds and wind, and you can perceive the nevoeiro and salty mist coming from the ocean. In summer, the luxurious garden wraps your sleep. We do not have a pool, but we have a charming jungle garden, with fruit trees (figs!) and lots of jasmin.

We like having occasional guests who understand the value of our location, and quiet life near the sea. I shall define it a "paying guest" solution or old styled B&B, not a home share because this is my home and family home. We expect kindness and extreme privacy and discretion from our guests. For security reasons (alarm etc.) we cannot allow visitors in the house, apart from our guest, who will have the alarm set keys.

We love having only a few guests at a time; to connect with them, and make sure they are comfortable and well taken care at our home. at the same time, we really appreciate discretion, kindness and also respect of home habits.
