February is the month of love. With it comes the most wanted Valentine’s day.
Did you know that the 14th of February is the day of the death of Saint Valentine? Valentine was a saint who was killed in the 3rd century because he secretly married couples after the marriage had been forbidden by the Roman emperor.
And what about the well known postcards and sentence “Would you be my Valentine?”? These were born in the 19th century in England.
In Portugal and in many countries, Valentine’s day is celebrated on the 14th of February but, for example, in Brazil, this day happens on the 12th of June, Saint Anthony’s day which is also the saint of the weddings and Lisbon.
What if you celebrate this day contributing to the health of your heart and your soulmate’s heart? Love Run challenges all couples. It will be a 6km running in Estádio Universitário de Lisboa in which you have to cross the finishing line with your other half. If you are single and you love running you can participate too. If you are lucky, with the help of Saint Anthony, you may find your soulmate there. In case you prefer calmer sports you can walk instead of run.
