Spanish Tax Office to become more flexible with its taxation system and visa requirements to attract digital nomads to the country, within the framework of Spain’s new “Startup Law”. Learn how Inlife can help you to find your dream house in Madrid or Barcelona, and work remotely from this digital paradise.
After more than a year of teasing a digital nomad visa for international remote workers in Spain, it is expected to launch in January 2023.
With this announcement, the Iberian Peninsula is becoming a digital nomad hotspot for workers from all over the world. This year, Portugal took a step forward by launching its digital nomad visa at the end of October. Now, Spain will stack up to their neighbour’s initiative, by offering similar benefits after the bill is ratified by the Spanish Senate.
Among the expected measures to be taken by the Spanish Tax Office, digital nomads would pay a reduced income tax of 15%, with a salary requirement of 2000€/month, experts predict.
